Improve existing instructions or translate selected steps or the entire process into another language.

Open the assistant

In Steps, choose AI Assistant.

Describe the exact change and scope: which steps to change, what to preserve, and the desired result.

Send the request and wait for the response. Inspect the resulting steps in the editor.

Review technical values, sequence, fields, and media after the change, then confirm the save status.
Write a focused request
- “Make step 2 more concise. Preserve the component names and all numeric values.”
- “Translate all step descriptions to Spanish. Keep part numbers and units unchanged.”
- “Split step 3 into preparation and inspection. Do not add new requirements.”
- “Format the descriptions as bullet points, retaining the original sequence.”
Quick actions include Translate, Shorten, Fix Grammar, and Add Warning. Review any warning against your approved process requirements.
Translate steps for another team

Duplicate or export the project first if you need to keep the original-language version.

Choose Translate in the AI Assistant. Complete the request with the target language and scope: all steps, or specific step numbers.

For example: “Translate all step titles and descriptions into Hebrew. Keep part numbers, measurements, and units unchanged.”

Send the request. The assistant can update the current project; inspect the resulting titles and descriptions, and check whether fields also need translation.

Have a reviewer familiar with the target language and process check technical terms and acceptance criteria before sharing.
For a partial translation, name the steps explicitly—for example, “Translate only steps 2 and 3 into Spanish.”
Keep different revisions understandable
Use New conversation when starting a separate editing topic. Chat history lets you return to earlier conversations. It is conversation history, not a substitute for a versioned project backup.
Export or duplicate the project before a broad rewrite or translation if you need the original wording. Assistant requests can change project content; always inspect the result before distributing it.
Check translations and structural changes
Ask a competent reviewer to check terminology in the target language. A fluent translation can still misstate a technical term or acceptance criterion.
When combining, splitting, or reordering steps, check the field and media associations as well as the prose.
