Generate a draft and answer clarification questions

Start from ready sources

   Open Sources and check the ready-source count. Wait for processing or resolve the error shown for a failed source.

   Choose Generate Steps. StepGen prepares the source data and asks Technical Clarification questions when needed. When no questions are needed, it can proceed directly to generation.

   Read each question in the context of your process. Choose an answer, use Write custom answer, or select Skip question when you cannot provide a reliable answer.

Use questions to improve the instruction

Clarifications are most valuable when sources omit a requirement: the intended audience, a missing check, an exact tool, or the boundary of the procedure. Answer from the source or the process owner’s knowledge.

After answering or skipping every question, Grill Me can request deeper questions. Use it when the first round exposed additional gaps. It is fine to skip a question you cannot resolve, but verify that the final draft does not treat missing information as established fact.

Follow progress without starting duplicates

Continue to generation once the questions are handled. The wizard shows progress and status. You can close the window while the work continues in the background, then reopen it from the generation action or progress link.

If media generation is enabled, the wizard includes a Media stage. The text can be available while images are still creating. Open Media to inspect pending or failed image requests.

Treat completion as the start of review

   Open Steps and read the full sequence.

   Compare important details with source evidence and clarification answers.

3. 3

   Correct omissions, unsupported details, and unnecessary fields.

4. 4

   Wait for the save indicator before sharing or exporting.
