Edit one step at a time

   Open Steps and expand a step card.

   Edit the step name so it describes an action. Edit the rich-text description with the necessary detail, lists, and emphasis.

   Check the fields and attached media under the description. Remove irrelevant items and add missing context.

   Wait for the save status before moving on.

Review the action, the information to collect, and the visual together.

Add, reorder, or remove steps

For a blank project, choose Add First Step to author manually. For an existing instruction, use the add-step control or the insertion control between steps. Drag the step handle to change the order.

Keep one meaningful operation per step. Split a step when its actions require different tools, locations, or verification. Remove a step only after checking that the surrounding sequence still makes sense.

Review evidence and uncertainties

When generation supplies Source evidence, expand it to inspect the referenced source, page or time range, and supporting text. Evidence is recorded during generation; it does not automatically become current when you rewrite the instruction.

Review unresolved questions and AI-suggested collection fields. A suggested field is a proposal to review, not proof that your process requires collecting that information.

Use a practical review checklist

• Can the intended reader identify the correct tool, part, orientation, and starting condition?
• Does the step say what to do and how to recognize completion?
• Are quantities, units, limits, warnings, and sequence supported by the source?
• Does the visual show the same revision and action as the text?
• Have assumptions and missing requirements been resolved by the process owner?
