Record for the next person
- Keep the hands, tools, and workpiece visible at the point of action.
- State the name of each tool or component, and explain why a check is required.
- Show the completed state so the reader knows what success looks like.
- Add hidden requirements as text notes: measurements, acceptance criteria, waiting times, and exceptions.
Upload and allow processing to finish

Choose Browse Computer in Sources and select the video.

Wait for upload, analysis, and transcription. Larger or longer files can require more time than a short text note.

Check the source status and description, then generate the instruction.

During review, compare the step order and any selected timestamps with the actual demonstration.
Attach the moment that explains the action
Open Media from Steps, select the video source, and use its playback and selection controls to find the relevant action. Attach a useful frame or clip to the intended step.
A short, focused clip is easier to follow than making the reader search through a long recording. Confirm the start and end points by playing the selected segment.
A shared video clip attachment grants access to its full source video. Use a source that is appropriate for the intended audience before enabling a public share link.
Handle unclear audio or missing actions
Do not rely on a transcript alone when the visible action contradicts the narration. Correct the source context or write an explicit note about the intended method.
If the recording skips an important operation, add verified detail from the process owner. The AI cannot reliably reconstruct an unseen operation.
