Share & export
Export to Word, Next Plus, or a StepGen package
Choose the delivery format that matches how your team will use the instruction.
What you’ll achieve
A downloaded or delivered export that you have opened and checked.
Before you begin
- A saved, reviewed project.
- Access to the account email for exports delivered when ready.
On this page
Choose a format for the destination
| Format | Use it for | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Word | Editing, printing, and document review outside StepGen | Direct .docx download. |
| Next Plus | Preparing instructions for a Next Plus workflow | Emailed when ready. |
| .stepgen | Keeping a portable project package for import or reuse | Emailed when ready. |
Create the export
- 1
Check that the project is saved and its media has finished processing.
- 2
Open Share and choose the required export format.
- 3
Complete the export name and description when prompted so the version is identifiable.
- 4
For Word, save the download. For queued formats, wait for completion and check the email associated with your account.
- 5
Revisit the past exports area in Share to inspect available exports and download a completed result.
Open what you deliver
- For Word, inspect page breaks, step order, image size, and long text before printing or forwarding.
- For Next Plus, validate the imported result in the destination system; exporting does not itself publish an execution workflow.
- For .stepgen, keep the package as a controlled copy and verify an import when using it for handoff.
- Check the destination’s treatment of fields and video media. A static document is not equivalent to the interactive project.
If an export is not ready
Check its status in Share before creating another export. Verify your inbox and spam folder for queued deliveries. If the job failed, use its error message to decide whether to retry.
If the problem persists, contact Support & Feedback with the project name, export format, approximate request time, and visible error. Previously downloaded files do not change when you edit the project; create a new export for the new revision.
