Attach the right image or clip to a step

Open the Media Editor

   Open Steps and choose Media, or open a step’s media controls.

   Select a source or available image in the media library.

3. 3

   Use the viewer controls to inspect the image, PDF page, or video segment.

   Check the destination step in the footer. Choose a different one if needed, then select Add to step.

The selected media and the destination step are separate choices. Check both before adding.

Choose the most useful view

• For PDFs, use the page or extracted detail that makes the action clear.
• For videos, find a frame or clip that shows the actual operation. Check the segment by playing it.
• For images, inspect small labels and component orientation before attaching.
• Use a close view for a small detail and enough context for the reader to identify its location.

Attach your own image

Open Media from Steps, or click the add-media tile in a step. In the Media Editor, choose Add files to upload an image. You can also drop a file onto a step’s media area.

After the image loads, check the destination step and choose Add to step. Preview the attachment and replace outdated or redundant visuals before sharing.

Check the instruction as a reader

   Choose Done to return to Steps.

   Confirm that the image is attached to the intended step and that text and image agree.

   Open the preview and check readability.

   Verify the final export or shared view, since the delivery format can present media differently.
