Generate your first practice instructions from a supplied PDF and images, without uploading your own files.

A small, useful practice exercise
The sample explains how to prepare a fictional training workbench: clear and wipe the surface, position a kit, record its identifier, and check three labeled blocks. It includes a two-page PDF and two reference images, ready for generation.
The material is supplied with StepGen. You do not need to find or upload any files. The sample project is created in your selected workspace and follows its normal access rules; it is not a public sharing link.
This is a fictional training exercise, not an approved production or safety procedure.
Create or reopen your practice project
The sample uses one normal project slot and a small amount of workspace storage. Repeating Try a sample project reopens your existing sample in that workspace, preserving your edits. It does not create another copy each time.

Select the workspace where you want to practice.

When no project is selected, choose Try a sample project. You can also open the three-dot menu → Tour App → Try a sample project.

Wait for Practice · Prepare a training workbench to open in Sources. The PDF is already processed and the source should be ready.

Open the source preview to read the handout. Its two images are also available in the Media editor.
Turn the sample into your first draft
Generation and optional AI images use the normal workspace allowances. Generated wording and the number of steps can vary; compare the draft with the PDF rather than expecting an exact copy of an example.

Choose the Sources cog if you want to review generation settings, such as Generate Fields. Save any changes.

Choose Generate Steps. Creating the sample itself does not start generation or use a generation allowance.

Follow the normal clarification and generation flow. The sample contains the facts needed for the exercise; do not invent additional technical requirements.

When steps appear, use the Review & refine tour to learn the editor. Check the kit identifier, the three labels, their order, and the final checklist.

Open Media to attach the supplied views to suitable steps. You can also try AI media if your profile and workspace have access and allowance.
Make a few useful edits
- Rewrite a step title so it starts with a clear action.
- Open the step description and make its wording easier to follow.
- Inspect the kit-identifier field and the readiness check.
- Attach the image showing blocks A, B, and C to the relevant step.
- Ask the AI Assistant to improve clarity, then review its proposed changes.
- Inspect sharing and export choices once your practice draft is reviewed.
If the sample cannot be opened
Use the normal project controls to rename or remove your sample when you finish practicing.

| No active license or available storage | Ask the workspace owner to check the license or free storage. |
| A temporary preparation error | Try again from Tour App. Existing projects are not overwritten; a completed sample is reopened. |
| The sample has already been edited | Your changes are intentionally retained. To start with fresh sample sources, move that sample project to the recycle bin and choose Try a sample project again. |
